Linda Samis - Senior Consultant |
As a senior consultant with crawfordconnect for the past eight years, Linda is responsible for executive search, interim management, organizational development and job search strategy coaching.
Linda brings over 25 years of varied and extensive experience in the fields of education, workplace learning and performance and nonprofit fundraising and program management. For over ten years she held progressively senior positions with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario followed by a career in consulting where she has provided services to such organizations as The Easter Seal Society of Canada, Seneca College, The Social Planning Council of Toronto and Parkinson Society Canada some of the over 50 clients she has worked with in such areas as strategic planning; organizational audits, job search and selection hire procedures, client services management, , staff performance systems, team and project development, change management and interim executive placements.
As a respected professional and an effective communicator with a natural talent for coaching, training/facilitating and mentoring, Linda successfully motivates and supports individuals, teams and organizations through change and development.
As a volunteer, she has served on various committees including the Ryerson Polytechnic University advisory committee for the National Voluntary Sector Management Certificate Program and has provided fundraising and marketing expertise to the national organization, Leave Out Violence. Currently she sits as the Assistant Chair on the Toronto Symphony Orchestra 2011 National Piano Competition Committee.
Linda received her BA from McGill University and her Bachelor of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. As well, she completed the Voluntary Sector Management Program at Toronto's York University and is a certified True Colors™ and Personality Dimensions® trainer and a certified job search strategy coach. She has also served as a faculty member of the Social Planning Council of Toronto Training Institute and as the organizational consultant for the Canadian FundRaiser, NonProfit Management Information Services.
